The 127th birth anniversary of our beloved Gurudeva was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Hyderabad Dhyana Kendra. The day being a Sunday, the attendance was larger than usual. Around 400 devotees from far and near and several new faces, came to the Kendra to pay their homage to our beloved Guru.  Devotees in their jubilant spirits participated in the programme which started at 10 am and went on till 6 pm at the Kendra. Arrangements were made for lunch and tea within the premises. The morning meditation started from 10 am till 1 pm which included reading, periods of chanting and also meditation. Lunch was served to around 350 devotees from 1 pm to 2 pm. Devotees joined with great enthusiasm for the chanting and singing. It is customary in Hyderabad Kendra to have a cake with a single candle and also listening to the talk of Guruji's "Awake in the Cosmic Dream" played at the background. This talk was given by Guruji on his birthday when a cake is brought before him with a single candle. The cake was cut to the happy birthday song, the devotees partook of the cake and also tea and biscuits. The evening session began at 4 pm with reading, chanting and bhajans and concluded with closing prayer, arati and pushpanjali. The Dhyana Kendra gave a scholarship to two bright but economically poor children, studying in class 1st and 5th for their fees of Rs 60,000/- and Rs 45,000/- was donated directly by a devotee in cash, to Integrated Welfare Society for taking care of mentally challenged people.
