Shamirpet Outdoor Meditation December 2, 2017

Around 60 devotees of Hyderabad Dhyana Kendra and Serilingampally Dhyana Mandali had an all-day outdoor meditation at YSS property in Upparapally on December 2, 2017 from10 am to 4 pm. Two 22-seater buses brought devotees from Begumpet Kendra and Serilingampally. The weather was very congenial for the meditation and the gentle breeze kept the weather cool without being too chill. On arrival at around 8.30 am the devotees took breakfast and did their own Energization Exercises. The meditation began with a small welcome telling the devotees about the place and how it came to pass and also about the schedule for the day. The first three hours from 10 am to 1 pm was conducted by Sai Jayanth who read from Guruji's talk on "Remoulding your Life" and sang cosmic chants at intervals of 45 minutes of meditation. Lunch was served from 1 pm to 2 pm, post which devotees participated in bhajans conducted by Smt Shashi till 2.45 pm.  Guruji's "Prayer at Noon" was played and subsequently towards the end of the meditation at 4 pm Guruji's "Prayer at Eventide" was played, followed by Guruji's rendering of "Hey Hari Sundara." The meditation concluded with prayer for others and healing prayers. Oranges were given as prasad. Tea was served at 4 pm and the devotees departed by 4.30 pm. Devotees were over whelmed by the entire programme and wanted such outing more frequently. This is the only way the Mandalis and Kendras can come together for a more intimate meditation and connect to devotees from other Mandalis. Despite the busy wide outer ring road and the service road next to our property the devotees felt an intense peace in the place.

One devotee participated in meditation at YSS property for the first time, having come to know about the outing through the website post. The devotee's intention was to make his parents members since they were uneducated, he was advised to himself take up lessons and then help his parents. The very next week, he took the lessons membership in the Begumpet Kendra.
