Hyderabad Dhyana Kendra participated in the 31st Hyderabad Book Fair, which was inaugurated at NTR Stadium by Energy Minister G. Jagadish Reddy on Thursday, January 18, 2018. The bookfair was a 10-day affair which ended on January 28. There were 213 participating booksellers this year. Around 10 lakh people visited the book fair in 10 days. The stall of Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra displayed all the publications of YSS in a stall of size 10 feet by 12 feet. The stall was open from 2.30 pm to 7.30 pm on week days and 12 noon to 9 pm on week ends. The highest sellingbook was the Telugu Autobiography of a Yogi. Other top selling books were Bhagwad Gita, Divine Romance and Journey to Self-realization. Despite YSS books being sold by other publishers, there was a good turn around. Around 10-12 people took the application form and some old members who lost touch were reminded once again. Those interested were also given the programme card of our Kendra. A few complimentary books were also given to some who could not afford to buy the books. The stall rental with chairs, tables and racks costed Rs 26,000/- and the total book sales amounted to Rs 54,000/-.
