Hyderabad Dhyana Kendra has successfully completed the student outreach programme at Mahbubia Girls School and Junior college on June 28, 2018. At 1.30 pm, the volunteers held a presentation, introduced the path of YSS and gave a summary of the Law of Success. This was followed by a guided meditation, for 124 girls belonging to the 9th and 10th grade.
The students belonging to all religions were very receptive to the meditation. After meditation, it was announced that a test will be conducted on the Law of Success for the girls on July 30, 2018. Around 100 girls took the booklet in order to take the test.
On June 30th, around 87 students took the test. We evaluated the papers which overall were good. We selected 3 prize winners based on the quality of the essays and the objective type answers.
The first prize of Rs.3,000/- went to Maria who received a copy of the Autobiography of a Yogi and also a certificate. Her essay contained wonderful quotations from Guruji’s book. Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, a long-time devotee, offered the prize money.
The second prize of Rs.2,000/- was awarded to Wajeeda who is the sister of Maria. She was given a copy of the Autobiography of a Yogi and a certificate.
The third prize of Rs.1,000/- was given to Pushpa who received a copy of Autobiography of a Yogi and a certificate. The rest of the 84 girls got a participation certificate from YSS.
We thank the principal of Mahbubia School for letting us organize the program. As a token of appreciation, we gifted her a copy of the Autobiography of a Yogi and 10 How-to series booklets.
The student outreach program in Mahbubia Girls School was a success and we hope someday few of the students will become lesson members and the devotees of Paramahansa Yoganandaji.
