Volunteers of YSDK, Hyderabad conducted a student outreach programme at Mahbubia Girls Junior College, Abids, Hyderabad. On June 28, 2018 they held a presentation introducing the path of YSS and the summary of Law of Success, followed by a guided meditation in the college for around 200 junior college girls. The presentation went very well and some of the girls were very receptive and asked for 4 books of Autobiography of a Yogi, 20 application forms and 10 How to series booklets. After meditation, we announced that we will be conducting a test on Law of Success for the girls on any suitable day.
On July 6th, 2018 around 70 students took the test both in English and Telugu. We evaluated the papers which overall were good. We selected 3 prize winners based on their quality of essay and the objective type answers. The first prize of Rs.3,000/- went to Meena Begum who received a Urdu copy of the Autobiography of a Yogi and a certificate. Mrs. Manga Tayaru, once a principal of this college, sponsored the prize money. The second prize of Rs. 2,000/- was awarded to Ms Laya. She was also given a copy of Autobiography of a Yogi in Telugu and a certificate. The third prize of Rs.1,000/- was given to Fatima who received a English copy of Autobiography of a Yogi and a certificate. Apart from the girls who secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position on the test, all the other girls got participation certificates from YSS. We thank the principal of Mahbubia Girls College for letting us organize the program. As a goodwill gesture, we gifted her 10 How to series booklets. The Student outreach program in Mahbubia Girls College was a success and hope someday few of the students will become lesson members and the devotees of Paramahansa Yoganandaji.
