Student Outreach Activity in Bhavan's Vivekananda College

A special talk was conducted for the PG students pursuing MBA at Bhavan's Vivekananda College in Sanikpuri from 11 am onwards.  All the students were given a copy of the "Law of Success" while entering the hall. This helped them to go through the literature before the programme started. The Vice Chairman of the institution also attended the programme since he was inspired by Guruji after reading Autobiography of a Yogi. The Vice principal was presented with a picture of Yogeshwara and some books for the college library by Swamiji. Swami Suddhanandaji spoke about a unique coincidence and said that this college started in 1993 and Guruji was born on 1893 which is also the year when Swami Vivekananda gave his famous first speech at Boston in the Congress of Religions. Swamiji then spoke on "Meditation a Key to Success," interspersed with examples from management, Swamji instantly connected to the students and gradually connected them to the teachings of Guruji and explained the benefits of meditation. He guided a brief meditation after the talk and helped students to actually perceive the  stillness gained during the session. At the end of the talk Swamiji opened the session for questions. A few of them asked questions and got very satisfied with the answers Swamiji gave. Swamiji also announced about the 28th programme in Shilpakala Vedika and also asked the students to participate in the evening meditation from 5 pm to 7 pm at Sainikpuri Mandir which is hardly 200 meters from the college. While exiting the hall the students were given light refreshments and also application forms to those who were interested. Around 8 students took the application forms.
