Hyderabad Dhyana Kendra organized a drive for charity on the occassion of birth anniversary of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda. As part of this, the Kendra distributed food grains and lentils to Integrated Welfare Society for the Mentally Challenged on Jan 7^th 2016. Swami Madhavananda Giri who was incidentally present at the Kendra, conducted the event.  Some devotees also donated food grains towards 'Home for Street Children' on Jan 8^th 2016
